Those who sincerely  want to improve the lives of their clients or patients who suffer from problems related to drugs and/or alcohol do their best to keep up to date on the methods and techniques most favorable to a positive recovery experience.

All research confirms the undeniable value of an individual specific exercise program both before and after detox, and ongoing throughout the recovery process.  It is one of the easiest and most effective ways to enhance recovery and reduce relapse. Yet, I find very few treatment centers, detox programs, or "rehabs" calling upon the services of certified fitness trainers.  Oh, they may have long walks on the beach, or a treadmill available on site, but most rehabs are having their clients spend an inordinate amount of time sitting.

This makes no sense.  If you have a proven tool for increasing recovery and reducing relapse, you use it and promote it.  I'm a certified fitness trainer who knows how to craft individual specific exercises that aid in recovery, help rid clients of anxiety, depression and help them on a path to improved mental and physical health.
